Caritas Matha Hospital, through its Friends Club initiative, successfully conducted an awareness session on Sex Education and Safe & Unsafe Touches for students of St. Margaret’s U.P. School, Kaipuzha, with the aim of promoting personal safety, emotional well-being, and healthy development among children.

Creating awareness about body safety, personal boundaries, and age-appropriate sex education is essential in helping children recognize and respond to uncomfortable situations while fostering confidence and self-respect. The session on Sex Education was led by Sr. Ligi, Assistant Professor, Caritas College of Nursing, while Chithranjali K. V., Psychiatric Social Worker, Caritas Hospital, conducted the session on Touches, helping students understand the importance of safe and unsafe touches, personal space, and seeking support from trusted adults when needed.

Through interactive discussions and informative presentations, the resource persons encouraged students to develop awareness, confidence, and responsible decision-making skills. Through the Friends Club initiative, Caritas Matha Hospital continues its commitment to community outreach by educating, empowering, and safeguarding the younger generation, helping them grow into healthy, confident, and informed individuals.
