The program “Neonatology for Practicing Paediatricians,” organized under the leadership of Caritas Matha Hospital, was successfully completed. The event was conducted on April 24 from 8:30 AM at the hospital’s Diamond Jubilee Hall, in collaboration with NNF Kerala, NNF Kottayam, IAP Kerala, and IAP Kottayam. The sessions were led by Dr. Sajan Thomas, Head of the Neonatology Department, and Dr. Shari K. Raju.

The main focus of the workshop was on the challenges faced by doctors in neonatal care and their solutions. Expert-led sessions covered topics such as emergency care of newborns in the delivery room, respiratory issues, advanced treatment methods for jaundice, and the care of preterm babies.

The afternoon sessions included detailed discussions on blood sugar variations in children, epilepsy, and the diagnosis of heart diseases in newborns. In addition, discussions on complex cases presented by participants, along with expert responses, were also part of the program.
