On the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day, a special gathering titled ‘Nakshathrakoottam’ was organized jointly by Caritas Matha Hospital, Caritas College of Nursing, and Allen T21 Welfare Trust. A total of 39 children, along with their parents and teachers, participated in the event.

The program was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Roy Kanjirathummoottil, Joint Director of Caritas Matha Hospital. State Disability Commissioner Prof. Dr. P. T. Baburaj spoke about the legal rights of children with Down Syndrome, and Dr. Sunu John, Head of the Pediatrics Department, delivered the welcome address.

Following this, healthcare experts including Dr. Chikku Mathew, Dr. Hena N. N., Dr. Ajeesh T., Smt. Rincy Joseph, and Mrs. Anila C. Eapen led informative sessions. Cultural programs by the children and the prize distribution ceremony for the reel competition added vibrancy to the event.
